The list is focused on the key varietals grown in these regions, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris and others, selected from wineries like ours. Our award winning wine list provides an opportunity to explore the breadth and depth of wines produced on the Mornington Peninsula and cool climate regions, like ours, from around Australia and the world. We offer guests a five course ($195 per person) and seven course tasting menu ($250 per person).*** With a passion for delivering the best dining experience, our guests will enjoy and appreciate the little things that make dining with us special. Our restaurant team led by Restaurant Manager Marie Grasset set high standards of service – polished, but in a relaxed and friendly manner. Hayden believes in focusing on sustainable food that is considerate to our environment, where ingredients are sourced, how it has been grown or farmed, and when and how it is harvested all come together to form a story that he is very passionate about. The menu evolves and changes with the seasons and draws on Hayden’s experience working in some of the best restaurants in the world, including The Fat Duck and the Ledbury in the UK and Dinner by Heston, Vue de monde and Bistro Guillaume in Melbourne. Vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers are grown in fertile soils of our region and accompany the finest produce sourced from near and far. Guests can expect the highest quality seasonal and local ingredients handled with passion and creativity. His innovative menu is driven by creating a powerful connection between food, wine and nature. Head Chef Hayden Ellis is a Kiwi born chef, lover of local farming, foraging and worldly flavours. A celebration of the incredible produce from the Mornington Peninsula, the knowledge, skill and attentive service of our chefs, waiting staff and sommeliers, a wine list that provides endless opportunities for discovery, that has been judged Australia’s best, the relaxed ambience and views over our vineyard and the rolling hills of Main Ridge. Since we first opened our restaurant doors in 2006, our goal has been to try to bring together all the elements necessary to create a memorable experience for our guests. Note that whilst we love children the restaurant will only accept children over the age of 12 years old as we do not offer a children menu and therefore children will have to eat from the same Tasting Menu.Our passion is to deliver memorable dining experiences that celebrate great wine and great food. Please do note that there is NO CHOICE available between courses it is a fixed menu designed by Chef. We only serve our 4 course fixed Chef’s Tasting Menu at Lunch time, but our 4,5 or 7 course Chef’s surprise Tasting menu will still be available at Dinner time. If your booking is for the same day, please call directly the restaurant as we may not be able to cater for you. If you DO have any of the above, please notify us when booking. Head Chef Andrew thrives on bringing new flavours together and constantly reinventing the menu. We have also been twice voted best menu in Hampshire and commended in the Michelin, Harden’s and Good Food guides. The Elderflower boasts many national and local accolades, having gained 3 AA rosettes and been voted Hampshire’s Chef of the Year in 2017. At The Elderflower, we take great pride in sourcing the best local produce to incorporate them in a myriad of dishes created to follow the feel of the seasons.
